  • Elkhonon Goldberg, Ph.D., ABPP/ABCN, is Director of The Institute of Neuropsychology and Cognitive Performance. He is a Diplomate of The American Board of Professional Psychology / American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology, with over 20 years of experience in neuropsychological diagnosis, cognitive rehabilitation, and forensic neuropsychology. Dr. Goldberg is internationally renowned for his clinical work, research, writings and teaching in the area of clinical neuropsychology and cognitive neuroscience. His areas of expertise include executive deficit, memory disorders, attention deficit disorder, dementia, traumatic brain injury, and others. Dr. Goldberg was a student and close associate of the great neuropsychologist Alexander Luria. Elkhonon Goldberg is a Clinical Professor of Neurology, NYU Medical Center. He also serves on the faculties of Columbia University, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, and the Fielding Institute.

  • Kamran Fallahpour, Ph.D., is a co-founder and Program Director of INCP. He has been in clinical practice providing psychotherapy and neurofeedback in New York City for several years. He specializes in the use of psyhophysiological monitoring systems and treatment devices. Using neurofeedback and other psychophysiologically based methods, he utilizes time limited protocols for treatment of various conditions including ADD and ADHD for children and adults; anxiety disorders; phobias; depression; stress management, pain reduction and cognitive enhancement. He has been active in the development and improvement of biofeedback and neurofeedback software and computerized psychophysiological monitoring systems and has provided clinical and technical neurofeedback training to professionals internationally.

 

  • Dmitri Bougakov, Ph.D., has been instrumental in the development of INCP and has been continuously associated with the Institute since its inception. Dr. Bougakov specializes in neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation and enhancement.  He has extensive experience in the neuropsychological assessment and cognitive rehabilitation of children, adult and geriatric patients with a vast variety of neuropsychological, neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions.  Dr. Bougakov is an experienced scientific writer and editor.  His areas of scientific interest include executive functions and hemispheric specialization.
     


  • Anne-Lise Christensen, Ph.D., is Senior Consultant at INCP. She is Professor of Neuropsychological Rehabilitation of University of Copenhagen. Dr. Christensen is world-renowned for her clinical work, teaching and research devoted to the design of integrative interdisciplinary approaches to neurorehabilitation of the effects of traumatic brain injury, stroke and other conditions. She is the founder of cognitive and functional neurorehabilitation in Scandinavia. Dr. Christensen is particularly well known for her contribution to the neuropsychological tradition pioneered by Alexandr Luria. Dr. Christensen plays a central role in the development of innovative clinical and educational programs at INCP in the United States, Europe and other parts of the world.

  • Louis Costa, Ph.D., is Senior Consultant at INCP. He served as chairman of the department at CCNY and Victoria and was Dean of Social Sciences and Dean of Arts and Science at the University of Victoria. Dr. Costa engaged in research in the neuropsychology of cerebral organization, visual inattention, aging and dementia and clinical neuropsychological assessment. He co-founded and edited the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology and the journal Aging,Neuropsychology and Cognition.Dr. Costa helped found and served as President of the International Neuropsychological Society, the Division of Clinical Neuropsychology of APA and the Section on Clinical Neuropsycholgy of the Canadian Psychological Association. He served as Chair of the joint INS-APA Division 40 Task Force on Education, Accreditation and Credentialing and was a founding member of the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology.

  • Allan Mirsky, Ph.D., is Senior Consultant at INCP. He is Chief, Section on Clinical and Experimental Neuropsychology,Laboratory of Brain and Cognition, National Institute of Mental Health. He is the author of more than 180 articles, chapters and edited books in neuropsychology, comprising studies in the areas of attention, the antecedents of schizophrenia, seizure disorders, brain injury and psychopharmacology. He is past president of the International Neuropsychological Society, and of the Division of Comparative and Physiological Psychology of the American Psychological Association. He is Adjunct Professor in the Departments of Mental Hygiene and Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University, and in the Department of Psychiatry of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

  • Michael Hutchinson, Ph.D., MD, is a board certified neurologist. He is an Assistant Professor of Neurology, NYU Medical Center, with particular interest in cognition, dementia, and movement disorders. In addition to clinical work, Dr. Hutchinson maintains an active research program in functional neuroimaging, movement disorders and dementias.


  • Paul Michael Ramirez, Ph.D. Is a licensed psychologist specializing in Clinical Neuropsychology and psychopathology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Professional Disability Consultants. He is also trained in clinical hypnosis and is certified in biofeedback and treatment of alcohol and other substance abuse disorders. His neuropsychological specialties include head injury, cognitive rehabilitation, cognitive and emotional components of neurological disorders, learning disabilities, and ADD (Child/Adult). He also provides individual psychotherapy of depression, anxiety, and stress-related disorders as well as occupational therapy.
